When Someone Opened the Door

When Virginia and her mother were forced from their home by armed gangs, they had nowhere to go. They moved from place to place, depending on the kindness of others for a place to sleep.

Eventually, Virginia and her mother became homeless.

Virginia was quiet and withdrawn, often seen with tears in her eyes. Then someone opened a door, giving them a corner of her home to sleep in.

Thanks to your support, Virginia was enrolled in school, given books, a uniform, and a safe place to belong.

Today, she is thriving. She loves math, eagerly does her homework, and her teachers describe her as kind, bright, and full of potential.
