OUR SCHOOL
Education Changes Everything
Vertile provides a K–13 education for children in Léogâne, helping students build the knowledge, confidence and opportunities they need to create a different future.
What began in 2019 with a single 7th-grade class has grown into a full school serving hundreds of children.
Kindergarten through Graduation• First graduates in 2026
Education in Haiti is in crisis. One in four children is currently out of school, and fewer than 20% of children make it past the 6th grade in their education. For Vertile students, a consistent, high-quality education can change the course of a life.

For Some Children, School Starts Here
Some children arrive at Vertile having never been to school before. We help remove the barriers that keep children out of the classroom by providing uniforms, shoes, books and test fees for students who need them.
For some families, school also provides a safe place for children during the day while parents search for work and food.
From a First Classroom to Graduation
As students grow, Vertile helps them build the skills, confidence and opportunities they need for what comes next. In 2026, the students who entered Vertile as 7th graders became our first graduating class, an important milestone for a school that began with just one class in 2019.
