Koulou
Growing up, Koulou’s mother struggled to make ends meet, sometimes leaving him alone all day and night while she looked for work. She couldn’t afford to send him to school, and his belly was often empty, something he echoes when he talks about why he loves living at The Vertile House so much. We saw a very driven and intelligent boy that just needed a chance to thrive, so decided to take him in.
It's impossible to not love Koulou – with a passion for sports and lots of energy, he brings joy to the group. Most recently, he realized that he really excels at computers and he’s been teaching the other kids the new coding tricks that he’s learned during his computer time.
When he grows up, he wants to help other kids just like him, and dreams of becoming a surgeon. We’re proud of this driven young man and can’t wait to see how far he goes!
